IE7Pro – Very Useful Internet Explorer Add-on
To let you use your computer, Redmond-based software giant Microsoft came up with the Windows operating system. To let Windows users access the web and surf through all the information available online, Microsoft came up with the Internet Explorer (IE) web browser. Love it or hate it, IE is one of the biggest figures in the browser world. But this is not to say it can do everything, because it cannot.
Luckily enough there are applications that work on top of Internet Explorer to provide extra functionality and make the user experience a more pleasurable one. I am of course talking about add-ons and about one add-on in particular – the IE7Pro add-on.
The first thing you are going to love about IE7Pro is that it is freeware. Just like you can use Internet Explorer free of charge, so can you use the IE7Pro add-on free of charge after you download and install it. Speaking of which, the download weighs in at less than 3MB.
Then you are going to love what it can do:
Tab management: double click to close tab, open new tab from address bar, enable or disable crash recovery, hide search bar, and so on.
Super Drag and Drop – drag and drop a link on the page to open it, drag and drop to search selected words.
Mouse Gestures – by using the mouse to draw a symbol on the screen, you can perform various tasks, such as opening or closing a tab, going back, going forward, printing, and so on).
Crash Recovery – should the browser crash, all the pages you had open will be restored.
Save Page to Image – save a webpage as a JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP or TIFF image file.
The functionality provided by IE7Pro does not stop there. It can also block annoying ads, it can check your spelling, it allows you to change proxy settings.
I’ve saved this for last: IE7Pro is for Internet Explorer what Greasemonkey is to Firefox.
For the Internet Explorer user, IE7Pro offers a ton of features. Too many to count!
